Crispin A. Abad, Sr. is a graduate of Norfolk State College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a commission in the Army Quartermaster Corps. He served in various command and staff assignments worldwide and retired in the grade of Lieutenant Colonel after 22 years of service. He graduated from the Army’s Command and General Staff College, earned an MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology and is a graduate of the Army’s Organizational Effectiveness Consultant Course. After his retirement from the military, Mr. Abad worked for various federal agencies as a Logistics Management Specialist earning a certification in Supply Chain Management from the Pennsylvania State University Executive Programs. Mr. Abad’s professional awards include the Army Superior Civilian Service Award, Army Legion of Merit, Army Meritorious Service Medal (3), Army Commendation Medal (2), National Guard Bureau Meritorious Service Award and the Army Staff Identification Badge.

Mr. Abad is a life member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity with over 51 years of continuous service in a variety of elected positions and committee assignments in 10 chapters across 3 districts worldwide. Initiated into Pi Gamma Chapter (Norfolk State), he is a charter member of the award-winning Pi Lambda Lambda chapter currently serving as Chairman of the Budget Committee and a member of the Talent Hunt and Nomination/Election Committees. Mr. Abad is also a former Chairman of the Third District Talent Hunt Committee, a current at-large member of the International Talent Hunt Committee and a founding director of the International Talent Hunt Foundation where he is involved in strategic planning, fundraising, program development and project management. His fraternal awards include the Omega 50 Year Service Award, Citizen of the Year Award, Omega Man of the Year Award (2), Omega Superior Service Award (4) and the Founders Lifetime Achievement Award.

Mr. Abad is an active member of the historic Meade Memorial Episcopal Church in Alexandria, Virginia where he serves on the Vestry as Chairman of the Finance Committee. He is also a featured accompanist for the Meade Ensemble Choir and produces an Annual Jazz Concert series to raise funds for the church. His musical experience includes symphonic orchestras, marching bands, jazz ensembles, rhythm and blues bands and gospel choirs.

Mr. Abad is a founding director of the George M. Hampton Scholarship and Community Action Foundation, Inc. (Affiliate of Pi Lambda Lambda Chapter) and served as its first President. He currently serves as the foundation secretary and also serves in leadership positions for several other nonprofit tax-exempt organizations involved in community service and the faith-based community. His interests include traveling, history and music. Mr. Abad is married and the proud father of two sons serving in the Army and Air Force who have blessed him with six grandchildren.
